What Does Real Greatness Look Like? Jesus Walks Toward the Cross | Mark 10 | Super Short Thought

Everyone expected a Messiah who would crush the Roman invaders.

Instead, Jesus walked ahead of his friends up the road to Jerusalem and told them exactly what was coming: arrest, mockery, a Cross.

In this Super Short Thought from Mark 10:32-45, we look at what greatness actually looks like. Jesus is not trapped and not surprised. He is choosing to walk toward tremendous personal sacrifice, to give the people who deserve nothing an undeserved, glorious and forever life as a gift.

It was not what the disciples were looking for.

It may not be what you are looking for.

But it was exactly what they needed, and it is worth thinking about for ourselves.
