Who actually stands behind the words you're reading?
At the University of Aberystwyth, where questions of authorship and authority obviously matter deeply, Rev Simon Bowkett asks the most important question Christians should be asking about Artificial Intelligence: who is prepared to put their name on this content?
The Apostle Paul took personal accountability in communication seriously, often signing epistles in his own handwriting so people would know it was genuinely him (2 Thessalonians 3:17).
Paul wasn't offloading information for others to sort out. He was saying:
'Here is what I believe to be true, I've examined it, God sees how faithfully I've communicated it, and I'm putting my name on it without hesitation ... hear the Word of God!'
That's the standard for AI-assisted ministry too.
Have I represented other people's work honestly? Have I checked what needs checking? Have I edited what needs editing?
You're not getting a bot or an avatar. You're getting a Simon, who has tried, tested and proved in his own real, human life lived with God alongside over the course of over 40 years that what He's saying here is reilable.
