Ever felt disappointed with how life has turned out?
In Luke 24, two disciples walk away from Jerusalem weighed down by confusion and unmet expectations. Everything they hoped for in Jesus seemed to have collapsed. But then - unrecognised - Jesus walks with them.
And what does he do?
He takes them back through the Scriptures and shows them that the cross was never a mistake. It wasn’t a tragic derailment - it was the plan all along. It must happen.
That changes everything.
What looked like the end of hope was actually the very means by which hope would come.
The same can be true for us.
When life doesn’t make sense, when disappointment hits hard and we blame God, the issue may not be the facts - but the frame.
God reads our lives through the lens of his purposes. And until our understanding aligns with his, we’ll continue to misread what he’s doing.
Maybe the answer isn’t new circumstances - but a renewed perspective.
