One of the most chilling lines in the Bible is spoken not to atheists, but to a church:
“You have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead.”
(Revelation 3)
That warning still cuts deeply today.
Because it’s possible to look fine outwardly…
while inwardly something slowly fades.
You can keep functioning.
Keep smiling.
Keep moving.
And yet feel spiritually empty inside.
But Revelation 4 gives the answer.
Not hype.
Not noise.
Not image-management.
The answer begins with seeing reality properly again:
God on the throne.
Worship.
Eternity.
The Lamb.
And strangely enough, realizing we are not the centre of the universe is not crushing — it’s liberating.
Because if God truly is on the throne, then chaos is not ultimate.
Hope does not rest entirely on us.
And spiritual life can begin again.
