Out on the Black Mountain, surrounded by the vastness of creation, it’s hard not to ask a troubling question:
Have we lost our sense of awe?
Modern life gives us endless distraction, endless scrolling, endless noise, yet many people feel spiritually exhausted, inwardly flat, and strangely unmoved by anything deeper.
Even churches can become busy, active, and religious while quietly losing their wonder.
In Revelation 4, the curtain is pulled back.
Suddenly we see thunder, fire, glory, worship, and heaven crying out: “Holy, holy, holy.”
I couldn't help thinking that recovering a vision of the greatness of God may bring exactly the perspective check that weary, world-worn hearts need to recover.
And it's all down to seeing the biggest figure in the Universe through clearer eyes ...
