What are you actually worth - and where does that worth come from?
Most of us quietly build our sense of identity on achievement, reputation, appearance, or what we’ve managed to earn. It feels solid. It looks convincing. But ... is it?
In Revelation 3:18, Jesus confronts a self-satisfied church in Laodicea that thought it had everythingy but was spiritually bankrupt without even realising it.
His invitation is striking: stop trusting what looks valuable, and come and get what actually is.
This short reflection asks a sharper question:
Not “How do I improve my worth?”
But “Where am I trying to get my worth from… and is it working?”
If your identity is built on unstable ground, it won’t hold—no matter how impressive it appears.
